OUR STORY
Our journey into starting a nonprofit organization began when two of our children were diagnosed with "hearing loss" at birth. Later, we also discovered a genetic condition that affects their vision, adding another layer to our family's challenges.
Over the years, through countless doctor's appointments, therapy sessions, and school meetings, we have seen firsthand the obstacles faced by individuals with sensory impairments. From navigating a world designed primarily for those with typical hearing and vision to overcoming societal misconceptions and barriers, our journey has been filled with difficulties.
In realizing that our experiences are part of a larger issue, a lack of resources and understanding for individuals with sensory impairments and their families, the Jaybrook Foundation was born.
